Seven Cherries Casino Review

Seven Cherries is an online casino that provides its players and members with a healthy selection of games to play. Ranging from slots to table games, including the popular live casino rooms, members are able to enjoy a number of the latest titles on the site – many of which are proven to be popular not only on this platform but across the industry.
New and existing players are also entitled to a number of great deals and promotions on the Seven Cherries site. Those who newly register with the platform will be able to get their hands on a welcome offer that not only has a bonus but also some free spins for their players to enjoy. This is fantastic news for the slot spinners, as they’ll be instantly on the front foot and be able to play for free. All this proves that there is plenty to get excited about with this online casino.

Strict Regulator

The site itself is owned by Nektan Limited who is an established online gaming company based in Gibraltar. For those who are unaware, Gibraltar is a British colony based in between Spain and Morocco and has become a hub for some of the leading sports betting and casino operators to base their headquarters.
As a result of this, the Gibraltar government have invested heavily into creating a regulator who are strict on their websites and widely respected and admired by players from all over. This is because they are very strict with their platforms when it comes to proving they are safe, secure and fair places to play online casino. An example of this is the fact the platform has to upload certain terms and conditions on banners that advertise promotions and offers.
This forces casinos, like Seven Cherries, to inform players of what they have to do to make the most of the appropriate offers. It’s fantastic that they do this and that the Gibraltar Gambling Commission enforce it on their websites. Players will understandably be delighted that the Seven Cherries site is regulated there.

English, Swedish, German…

The platform itself is easy on the eye and made sure it is easy to understand for the majority. This includes the site being available in a number of languages. The Seven Cherries platform is available in English, Swedish, German, Italian, Norwegian, Canadian and Finnish. The website has made a conscious effort to be available in a number of different dialects, ensuring that members will be able to understand what the message the platform is trying to get across to its players. This is another plus point for the Seven Cherries website, there is no doubt about that.

Seven Cherries Games to Play Galore

One of the main things to say about the Seven Cherries’ games lobby is that players can play the titles anywhere, thanks to the fact the site is accessible on mobile devices. All of the titles that are available on mobile, tablet and desktop devices have their qualities in no way harmed by the fact it can be played on smaller screens. Simply the titles re-skin themselves to fit on the smaller devices, allowing members to have as much high quality entertainment as they would playing on a computer or on a real life machine.
As soon as members load the homepage, they will be greeted by a list of slot titles that appear under the player favourites tab. This shows some of the most played and best loved games on the platform, so it’s no surprise that some of the most preferred games in the industry appear in this list, including Starburst, Cleopatra, Rainbow Riches Pick ‘n’ Mix and Wish upon a Jackpot. As well as all this, members will notice that some of the industries newly released titles appear in this list. Once again, this is good news to the site as it suggests new releases appear on the platform, allowing Seven Cherries to be the first destination for new players to find the latest releases. That is certainly a good reputation to have.
As previously stated, there are a number of casino table games that players can enjoy on the Seven Cherries slot. Classics including roulette, blackjack and baccarat all feature in the list of virtual games that players can enjoy on the site, while there are also a small selection of live casino titles. Included in this list are different in-play variations of the aforementioned games, as well as a VIP blackjack title where players can enjoy to stake on a larger amounts of money as they challenge to beat the dealer. With the good number of choices offered to players on the Seven Cherries site, there are certainly opportunities to enjoy table games on this website, which will be good news for many.

VIP Offers for All

New customers will be treated to a healthy new customer offer, but it’s not the greatest in value when comparing it to what other platforms offer. It works out as a 100% deposit match and 10 free spins to enjoy. It’s fantastic that they have included a decent number of free spins, allowing players to enjoy a taste for what the slot games on the Seven Cherries site offer without the fear of losing money.
The maximum bonus is just €10, which is on the small side to say the least and will leave those wanting to claim a big bonus in the dark. Existing players certainly are not forgotten though as players will be able to claim deposit bonuses and the chance to claim even more free spins on specific slots. Throw in the fact there’s a rewards club for those that stay loyal to the site and it’s easy to see why so many are impressed with this platform existing players offers.

Seven Cherries Banking Numbers Secret

One area where the website can certainly improve is how they provide information for the deposit and withdrawal options available to players. Players can find details hidden away in the frequently asked questions section where it will reveal that the minimum players can withdraw is €20, and they can do so using popular methods such as Visa, MasterCard and Skrill among others.

DIY Customer Support:

The website offers good customer support that is available by a number of methods, including live chat. This can be opened via a small icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, whilst those who would prefer to use another method can do so via telephone and email. As already mentioned, there is a detailed FAQ section.

Plenty of Cherries

Overall, there’s no doubt that the Seven Cherries website has got a lot going for it. The fact they are licensed in Gibraltar and have a good selection of games certainly tops that list. Throw in that members can enjoy a decent selection of promotions on a site that is available in a number of languages and accessible on mobile devices and players will be impressed with the package they offer. There are definitely areas it can improve but for a site so young, there’s plenty to like about the Seven Cherries online platform.

Review: Cherry Casino Playing Cards (Reno Red)

Review: Cherry Casino Playing Cards (Reno Red)
Since the debut of an aqua coloured Cherry deck in 2015, the Cherry Casino series of decks has proven extremely popular with magicians, cardists, and collectors.
Now there's a new family member in the series: Cherry Casino Playing Cards (Reno Red).
Tuck box
The Cherry Casino decks have a retro feel, and have made quite a hit in the world of magic and cardistry, and version 3 of this deck has appeared in several colours already.
The recent "Tahoe Blue" entry in this series is one of my favourite decks in recent times; it's so practical for card magic and playing card games, while also adding an immediate touch of style and class courtesy of the bold metallic ink that is used for the signature "tahoe blue" colour on the tuck case, and all the maroon colours that substitute for the traditional garish red.

The series of V3 decks
Like the Tahoe Blue deck, the tuck box of the Reno Red deck immediately impresses, because the familiar metallic maroon/red of the cherries has now been applied to the entire box. Minimalism taken to an extreme can become a grand thing, and that's precisely the case here!
Besides the white of the signature label and the small print elsewhere on the tuck box, it's just all red, baby! The ad copy describes it as "pearlescent red", and wants it to get our blood pumping as we get these trusted cards into our hands: "Your heart beats faster as the blood rushes throughout your body ... You begin to handle the snappy, crushed card stock, and your fingers are the first to realize - these are the Reno Red Cherry Casino Playing Cards. It is your trusted tool as you approach the card table ... The pearlescent red of the Reno Red Cherry Casino Playing Cards is symbolic of your lust for greatness."
Once we set the cards free from the box, and check out the card backs, we aren't disappointed. The white borders and pattern all help emphasize the hypnotic effect of the pearlescent red, emphasizing its eye-catching look. As with other decks in this series, the idea is to capture something of the old time casino feel, with classic cherry artwork familiar from iconic slot machines.

Iconic back design
The card faces employ a traditional look that we've come to expect from the Cherry Casino series, which ensures that they are ideal for card games or card magic.
As expected, the Ace of Spades makes a statement of style and brand identity, with an oversized pip that reminds us of the Cherry Casino brand. There are two gaff cards - a blank faced card and a double-backer.

Ace of Spades
Unlike some of the other decks, however, the red of the Hearts and Diamonds on the card faces doesn't match the pearlescent red of the card backs. I feel that an opportunity was missed here, because it seems a pity to me that the red of the face cards clashes rather than complements the red of the card backs.

A selection of the cards
The distinctive Jokers are an exception, however, with their familiar metallic/pearlescent red. These match the card backs beautifully, and only serve to make the rest of the deck seem unexpectedly ... normal.

The Jokers
With USPCC's thin crushed stock, the cards themselves handle smoothly and softly.
I can see fans of the Cherry Casino series finding a lot to like here, and perhaps I'm alone in wishing that the pearlescent red had been used for all the red on the card faces as well. But on the positive side, it does mean that this is a very practical and familiar looking deck, which makes it a universal fit that will suit almost every occasion.

The Fall were a group from Manchester founded by the enigmatic Mark E. Smith in 1976, after seeing the Sex Pistols at the Lesser Free Trade Hall. The group would go on to influence many bands over it's 40+ years of existence, such as Pavement and LCD Soundsystem. (Click link for write up on band)

The Fall was founded by one Mark E. Smith back in 1976, after seeing the Sex Pistols at the Lesser Free Trade Hall (The same gig attended by Ian Curtis and Peter Hook of Joy Division, Morrissey of the Smiths, and Tony Wilson, who founded the highly influential indie label Factory Records. Basically, Mark was at one of the more important gigs of the past 50 years, as this gig inspired all of those previously mentioned to either start bands or get involved in the punk scene, and changing the course of British indie music.). Over their 40+ years of operation, the band had Mark E. Smith at its helm as the sole constant member throughout it's existence. The band would become known for its classic assortment of records, with the tight musicianship by members such as guitarist Craig Scanlon and drummer Karl Burns (shown in the beginning of this clip from MTV's Cutting Edge) and Mark's esoteric lyricism, the witty, while often-times volatile and difficult, personality of Mark E. Smith, and the constant changing lineup of its members as a result of Mark's volatility. They would also remain to be the favorite band of legendary DJ John Peel, with the band holding the record of the most Peel sessions by a band, which is 24 sessions. The Fall would ultimately come to an end with the untimely death of Mark E. Smith in 2018 due to kidney and lung cancer.
The Fall are a significant band in the history of Post Punk, with a wide catalog of music to listen to released throughout the different eras of the band. I have decided to make a write-up going through the many eras of the Fall, while giving some recommendations from each era to start you off.
(1976 - early 1979 - Early Beginnings: The Martin Bramah Era)
during these years, the Fall were just getting their start with their sound. Their early material leans more towards the punk side of the sword rather than the post punk of their later years, but the embryo of the Fall's sound is clearly present. This can possibly be attributed to the guitar style of Martin Bramah in their early releases, which has a high pitched and trebly sound to the guitars. Their first recorded released came on a live album on the last day of operation for the Electric Circus, then they released their debut EP Bingo Master's Breakout then a single called It's The New Thing all in 1978. They finally released their debut album Live at the Witch Trials in March 1979 before Martin Bramah left in April 1979 due to increasing tensions with Mark E. Smith. He would then go on to found a band by the name of Blue Orchids with another former Fall member Una Baines, who he was dating at the time. Martin would prove to not be the only member to leave because of Mark's controlling demeanor in the band's future.
Here's some tracks to introduce you to this era's punky edge:
Last Orders
Bingo Master's Breakout EP (The entire EP's good to check out)
It's The New Thing
Rebellious Jukebox
Futures and Pasts
Mother-Sister
(mid 1979 - 1982 - The First Golden era: the Marc Riley Era)
I'm calling this the Marc Riley era because, even though Marc Riley was a part of the Bramah era, after Martin Bramah left, Riley would become the main guitarist instead of his previous role as bassist. This would open the door for members like Craig Scanlon to join on rhythm guitar and Steve Hanley on bass. This would end up transforming the sound of the band into the post-punk sound most people are familiar with the band. After releasing Rowche Rumble and the album Dragnet in 1979, the band would end up releasing a string of classic singles in 1980, such as Fiery Jack, How I Wrote Elastic Man, and probably their most well-known song, Totally Wired, as well as releasing the great album Grotesque (After the Gramme). 1981 would also prove to be a good year, with the release of the single Lie Dream of a Casino Soul and the 10-inch EP Slates. The band would end up travelling to Iceland for a string of gigs, which would lead to the recording of some songs for probably their best album Hex Enduction Hour, with tracks like Hip Priest and The Classical displaying the Fall's power in full force. The band would also released the album Room To Live and the single Look, Know. However, this year would prove to be the last with Marc Riley on lead guitar. After learning of their chart success in New Zealand (which was about 300 copies sold to get in the top 20), the band travelled there to play a few gigs in Australia and New Zealand. While there, increasing tensions between Smith and Riley came to a head in Australia when Riley punched Smith in the face for slapping the band for dancing to the Clash (yes, really). There is even a television interview where Mark's black eye is visible (even with heavy makeup). This tour would end up being released as a live album by the legendary New Zealand label Flying Nun Records as the album Fall in a Hole in 1983 (Which Smith would eventually threaten legal action for and forced Flying Nun to pay all of the revenue from the record, effectively almost killing Flying Nun in its infancy). Marc would end up being sacked by the end of the year. This left a hole to be filled for the lead guitar role, and that would be filled after a trip to America.
Here's some tracks to check out to introduce you to the classic Fall sound:
Rowche Rumble
How I Wrote Elastic Man
Totally Wired
New Face in Hell
Prole Art Threat
Lie Dream of a Casino Soul
Hip Priest
The Classical (N-Word Warning)

(1983 - 1989 - The Second Golden era: The Brix Smith Era)
The band would soldier on without Marc Riley into 1983, with Craig Scanlon taking his place on lead guitar. This period would lead to the release of singles like The Man Whose Head Expanded and the Kicker Conspiracy EP. During the Fall's first American tour without Marc Riley, Mark E Smith was introduced to Brix Smith after a gig in Chicago in April. Within three months, Brix would move to England and end up marrying Mark. She would eventually join the band in September of that year and would first appear on their album Perverted by Language, albeit with minimal involvement and only appearing on one track. Her introduction to the band would end up bringing a pop sensibility to the band, as she would eventually become a major songwriting contributor along with Mark and she would try and push the Fall into a more commercially viable direction.
This period would lead to some of the band's most critically acclaimed,as well as their most commerically successful, material. early singles like C.R.E.E.P and Oh! Brother in 1984 display the early shift into the pop sphere for the band. The band would also release the album The Wonderful and Frightening World Of in 1984. By 1985, the band were starting to hit their stride in the commercial sphere, with singles like Cruiser's Creek and Couldn't Get Ahead appearing in the singles charts and the great album This Nation's Saving Grace receiving critical acclaim and decent sales. The band would continue to release increasingly pop-oriented records between 1986-1987, with singles like Mr. Pharmacist, Hit the North and Hey! Luciani reaching the lower ends of the charts, There's a Ghost In My House giving the band their highest singles chart peak, and the album Bend Sinister reaching the Top 40. However, 1988 would prove to be a banner year for the band, with the album The Frenz Experiment reaching the top 20, and the single of the Kinks song Victoria also reaching the top 40. However, this era would eventually come to an end in 1989, when Mark E Smith and Brix Smith ended up divorcing and Brix left the band. Her last record in this era would prove to be the album I am Kurious Oranj, a collaboration with the Michael Clark dance group. However, the trajectory that Brix set the band upon would let their success continue into the 90s, With the band eventually reaching their peak in commercial popularity. However, not all good things are meant to last.
Here's some songs to check out to introduce you to this era's pop-leaning sound:
The Man Whose Head Expanded
Kicker Conspiracy
Eat Y'self Fitter
C.R.E.E.P
2 X 4
Cruiser's Creek
No Bulbs
Spoilt Victorian Child
My New House
I am Damo Suzuki
Shoulder Pads #1
Mr. Pharmacist
Hey! Luciani
There's a Ghost in my House
Hit The North
Victoria
Big New Prinz
Dead Beat Descendant
(1990 - 1994 - The Peak, followed by the Fall: The Major Label years)
After Brix left the band, Martin Bramah was brought back into the fold to fill in her place, and would be featured on the album Extricate, which led to songs like Telephone Thing, which shows influence from the Madchester scene of that time period, which included the Stone Roses and the Happy Mondays, and the love song Bill is Dead, which possibly reflects upon his divorce the previous year. However, Martin Bramah would not be staying for long, as he would end up being kicked out of the band that same year for having a relationship with the keyboardist. This album marked the period when the band would be featured on a major label, with the band being signed to Fontana. The Fall would continue on to have success during this period, with the aforementioned Extricate reaching the top 40, albums like Shift-Work and Code: Selfish reaching the top 30, and singles like White Lightning and Free Range reaching in the single charts, with Free Range being the bands last top 40 single. Their commercial peak would come with the album The Infotainment Scan, which contained a cover of Lost in Music by Sister Sledge, giving the Fall their first and only top 10 hit album. Mark would also be featured on a top 20 single, which was I Want You by the Inspiral Carpets. However, Mark E. Smith's speed and alcohol addiction, which persisted over the previous decade, started to take its toll. The bands fortunes started to dwindle with the album Middle Class Revolt, Which only reach number 48 in the charts, a far cry from their previous Top 10 success. With this album, the Fall would begin to go downhill, both in their commercial performance and their critical stature.
Here's some songs to check out from this banner period for the Fall:
Telephone Thing
I'm Frank
Bill is Dead
Edinburgh Man
Free Range
Lost in Music
Hey! Student
15 Ways
(1995-1998 - The Low Point: The Brownies Years)
By this point, Mark E. Smith begins to go downhill with the previously mentioned drug and alcohol addiction, and its effect on the music shows. Brix Smith returns around this time period and would come back on the album Cerebral Caustic. Even with her involvement in the band, the album got middling reviews and performed worse than Middle Class Revolt. Smith would also dismiss the long time guitarist Craig Scanlon, who had co-written 120 songs with Smith over the previous 16 years. Smith would later say that he regretted this decision. By the time of The Light User Syndrome, Brix had enough of Mark E. Smith's degrading state and behavior due to alcohol abuse, and would leave on the tour supporting this album. This period would be wrought with increasing tensions in the band and financial troubles, which ultimately came to a head on the US tour supporting the album Levitate at an infamous gig at the New York venue Brownies in April of 1998. Smith ended up appearing drunk at the gig, and did everything in his power to make it hard for the band to play. It came to a head when drummer Karl Burns, who returned to the band when Middle Class Revolt was made, ended up shoving Smith for messing with his drum kit. Burns and long-time/essential bassist Steve Hanley would end up leaving the band and never returning. After this gig, the next few years are marked with the band remaining a low profile for the most part, where would eventually return to form by 2003.
Here's some tracks to check out (if you want to) from this era:
Don't Call me Darling
Rainmaster
D.I.Y Meat
The Chiselers
Powder Keg
Masquerade
(1998 - 2002 - Touch Sensitive: The Long Lull)
During this period of the Fall, the band was just starting to be put back together by Mark after the debacle that was the Brownies gig. The band was able to achieve some form of critical favor with their album The Marshall Suite in 1999, with Touch Sensitive being a particular standout on the album and being featured in a Volkswagen commercial. The band would then release their album The Unutterable, which also started to gain the critic's favor back. The next album Are You Are Missing Winner, however, didn't do the band any favors, as it was recorded when the band was tight on funds. It was considered a misstep by the Fall after the acclaim that the last album received. However, this would ultimately lead to the start of a new era of the fall that would effectively renew their relevance as a band in the public's eye.
Here's some tracks to check out from this transitional period of the bands history:
Touch Sensitive
W.B
Sons of Temperance
Dr. Bucks Letter
Bourgeois Town
(2003 - 2009 - A return to grace: The Third Golden Age)
This era of the fall proved to be a rebirthing of the band's relevance and quality, with Mark writing some of the best material the band had in years. This era starts with the album The Real New Fall LP (Formerly Country on the Click) in 2003, which provided the band with some late era classics, such as Mountain Energei and Theme From Sparta F.C. Around this period, the DJ John Peel, who was one of the band's biggest supporters from the beginning, died of a heart attack, but not before the Fall could release one more Peel session a couple months before his death. The Fall would then release Fall Heads Roll in 2005, which also provided the band with another late-era classic in the form of Blindness. The band would also release albums like Reformation Post TLC and Imperial Wax Solvent within the same period. Imperial Wax Solvent would end up being the first Fall album in 15 years to reach the top 40. This would lead into the final era of the Fall leading up to Mark E. Smith's untimely death.
Here's some tracks to check out from this era:
Mountain Energei
Theme From Sparta F.C.
Blindness
Clasp Hands
Fall Sound
Latchkey Kid
Is This New
Strange Town
(2010 - 2018 - The Witching Hour: The Domino and Cherry Red/final years)
In 2010, the Fall would release Your Future Our Clutter on Domino Records, the same label that releases records by the Arctic Monkeys and Franz Ferdinand, Two bands heavily influenced by the Fall. Mark E. Smith would also end up recording vocals for Glitter Freeze on the Gorillaz album Plastic Beach, which was released in 2010. The band would eventually move to Cherry Red records, which would remain the label of the band until its dissolution. On Cherry Red, the Fall would release album such as Ersatz GB, Re-Mit, Sub-Lingual Tablet, and New Facts Emerge. The latter album would prove to be the band's last record. Over this period, Mark began to develop significant health problems, and would eventually be diagnosed with terminal lung and kidney cancer. This is probably due to the fact that Mark E. Smith was a heavy smoker for most of his life, and his previous problems with drugs and alcohol didn't help either. Mark would perform his final gig with the Fall in November of 2017, and would eventually succumb to his illnesses on January 24th, 2018. Mark E. Smith would leave behind a long history of innovation, wit, and volatility and large catalog of great music for others to be inspired by.
Here's some tracks to check out from the final era of the Fall:
Bury Pts. 2 + 4
Nate Will Not Return
Loadstones
Fibre Book Troll
New Facts Emerge
(Final Remarks)
So that's my write-up for the Fall. I discovered this band about 3-4 years ago and I have fallen in love with them ever since, and I just felt like that they deserved some attention. I wrote this post for anyone who may be interested in checking out the band and giving them a place to start from no matter the era. May Mark E. Smith rest in peace, for he wrote "Northern white crap that talks back" and dug repetition.
P.S: For any fans of the fall, what is your favorite album/song by the fall and why?
If you want to, you can come check out my subreddit Collectionhauls, where I've been posting vinyl finds I've had at the flea market, and have been posting music to check out since March. If you want, you can come post something from your collections to show to others. Anyway, goodbye and I hope you enjoyed my post and possibly enjoy the Fall even more.

I personally believe that the Fall, while revered in Post-Punk circles and UK indie music, I feel that they are still highly underappreciated in popular music. I feel that they should have been on the same level as the Cure or Joy Division in their cultural significance to music in general. However, what we do have from the Fall is great and I can say that I love them dearly.
For any fans of the fall, what is your opinion on the significance of the Fall to popular music? What do you find to be your favorite aspect of the Fall's music?

Did you like this 918kiss 2021 New Reel King Potty Slots Game?

Extravagant some regally exemplary twists? Evaluate Reel King Potty, a traditionally themed 5-reel gambling machine with 20 paylines by 918Kiss Casino programming. The game is loaded up with numerous bright reel images, making it a pleasurably visual encounter for punters of any experience level. Nonetheless, the most appealing thing about these twists is maybe the possibility of a 250,000 credit bonanza in the base game and reward game. Furthermore, that is not referencing the reformist big stake which continues filling in size until some fortunate players tags along to turn the "Lord Pot" champ.

Regal Spins with a Classic Twist

To the extent the topic and plan of Reel King Potty goes, players shouldn't expect anything excessively luxurious. That is on the grounds that the 5 reels are totally enriched with a portion of the ordinary symbols from the gambling machine classification, for example, playing card esteems (10, J, Q, and K) just as cherries, plums and sacks of gold. The game draws out the lofty court topic of the title with a wild buffoon cap, an image that intends to engage spinners by possibly finishing line wins for any remaining symbols when it shows up on the third, fourth and fifth reels. These symbols are satisfactorily brilliant, striking and vivid, similarly as any great traditionally styled betting game ought to be. In any case, the general tasteful is somewhat obsolete with basic 2D illustrations and simple livelinesss.

More Ways to Win

Players can win prizes in 918Kiss Reel King Potty in various manners. For a beginning, there is an opportunity to twofold low successes in the base game by playing a 50/50 card-based bet game. Notwithstanding, the most rewarding successes of all are offered when one of the game's extra highlights is set off. The first of these extra highlights is enacted when every one of the 5 reels are spun to uncover yellow reels. This will show the Reel King character himself who gives an extraordinary arrangement of 3-reels an assortment of hued 7 symbols. These reels will be spun to conceivably shape a triumphant blend according to the absolute wager. Any blend of blended 7s will grant 2x the complete wager while three blue 7s will grant 5x and three yellow 7s will pay 10x. The most worthwhile mix, in any case, is three red 7s which will get a 25x all out wager prize.
The subsequent reward game is set off at whatever point every one of the 5 reels are turned red. Once more, this will uncover a 3-reel set, however this time with different bronze, silver and gold letters, just as some uncommon red symbols. On the off chance that players figure out how to turn a coordinating arrangement of bronze, silver or gold letters to illuminate "POT", at that point they will win the comparing reformist big stake kitty. Three coordinating red images, notwithstanding, will grant the "Lord Pot" - which is the greatest of all.

Lord of the Slots?

In the event that we will be straightforward with you, at that point we'd need to state that 918Kiss Reel King Potty isn't quite possibly the most breathtakingly planned gambling machines accessible on the web. The game might be beautiful and lively, however you can undoubtedly discover games out there with more intricate plan work which draw out additionally fascinating story subjects. Notwithstanding, this 5-reel space has some sure things making it work. Most quite, there is an uncommon extra games wherein players can give their karma a shot 3 reels to win one of four reformist bonanzas.

If you want to, you can come check out my subreddit Collectionhauls, where I've been posting vinyl finds I've had at the flea market, and have been posting music to check out since March. It can take anywhere between a few minutes to three working days to receive your payout, according to our Megaslot casino online casino review research team. However, if you choose to withdraw your funds during the weekend, this may take a little longer. In order to reduce the overall waiting time, we recommend verifying your identity in advance.
Identity verification is a relatively simple process and is important to comply with regulations coming from the Malta Gaming Authority and also those of anti-money laundering. All you need to do is submit the relative documents to the Megaslot casino support team. This can take up to a few days, but once this is done, you can withdraw your funds quickly and without any problems. If your question is still unanswered, our Megaslot casino review team suggests you send the customer support team an email using the email address also found in the footer. You can write all your questions there and a customer support agent will get back to you as soon as possible.
Sometimes you need immediate answers, and that’s what the live chat is for. This can be found within the main menu tab and is available 24/7. Part of our review of Megaslot casino was to vet the live chat option, and we were more than impressed. A customer support agent was with us within seconds and assisted us in a very friendly and efficient manner. The best part about our customer support experience was the amount of detail that the agents put into their answers. A definite thumbs up from us!

918Kiss Casino Slot Game Review 2020 - Natural product Tumbling Slots

Bursting organic products, brilliant chimes, fortunate 7s, gleaming stars and sprightly jokesters all component on the reels of Fruit Tumbling, one of the latest online slots to be delivered by the gaming stalwart that is 918Kiss Casino 2020. We're certain this won't be the first occasion when you've endeavored to coordinate these sorts of exemplary images over a 3x5 game framework. Let's be honest, many comparative looking gambling club slot machines exist at online gambling clubs. The point of this audit is to feature what makes the Fruit Tumbling video slot not quite the same as the others, so you can conclude if it merits a couple of twists. Hot magma runs from a functioning well of lava in the background, showing that there's more super hot activity to be had on these reels than in comparative exemplary slots. This drove us to accept that images engaged with winning mixes would emit on fire, however unfortunately that isn't the situation. All things being equal, a sprinkling of gold residue falls on each passing image as it turns somewhat. 918Kiss, the biggest wholesaler of land-based gaming machines, has likewise incorporated a remarkable soundtrack that starts to play when the reels load. It caused us to feel like we were going to leave on an epic experience through a thick wilderness. Not actually with regards to the fruity subject, but rather we won't gripe excessively. It's much better than the stunning quietness that we frequently suffer in 918Kiss slots before the beginning catch is clicked to get the reels turning.

Allow the Tumbling To start

Natural product Tumbling is a 5-reeled video slot with 10 customizable paylines set up to coordinate at least three images opposite the furthest left reel. Gloating payouts worth up to 400x your stake, this is an exemplary organic product themed slot that incorporates a couple of red hot highlights to help you secure sizzling successes. This incorporates the famous tumbling reels include (otherwise called falling reels) – as you may have suspected from the game's title. This unique element sees images associated with winning blends disappear prior to being supplanted by new images that drop in from above. The reels are then recalculated with further payouts granted if another success is made. This will proceed until no new successes are made, basically meaning you could encounter a few successes each and every turn. The activity warms up much more in Fruit Tumbling on the off chance that you figure out how to trigger free games, because of win multipliers worth up to 16x being presented. Also, there is even a stepping stool bet for the most courageous players who aren't anxious about observing their rewards go up in smoke.

Happy as a Jester

As you'll see from review the compensation table of this free Fruit Tumbling 918Kiss slot machine, you don't should be a lord or aristocrat from the Middle Ages to be engaged by the jokesters on these reels. A buffoon speaks to the wild image, having the ability to fill in for every single customary image, and you'll be trusting he shows up on a payline with four of his entertainer companions to stash the game's top prize of 400x your stake. That five-image blend certifications to make them smile as broadly as the jokester who springs up wearing his colorful cap and collar. Attractive prizes are likewise on proposal for three or four buffoons showing up, as they convey wins worth 4x and 40x your stake respectivelYour karma will be in at whatever point you land a line of fortunate 7s, as they see you win up to 32x your stake. Brilliant chimes, ready watermelons and lots of grapes all offer successes worth up to 16x your stake. The joint most reduced paying images are sharp lemons, tarty plums, succulent oranges and sweet cherries. You'll will dive into wins worth up to 8x your stake for coordinating any arrangements of these natural products.

5GringosCasino Review

5Gringos is a new casino or better yet, a fruity world where new players can enjoy an immense number of slots and table games and choose the welcome bonus package that fits them best. All that looks great on paper. The eye-catchy theme, the large game library, and tempting bonus offers are exactly what players require to open an account at a new casino. However, we noticed some red flags and we consider it relevant to inform you about them.

Layout and Navigation

5Gringos has a lively design that adds to the cheerful atmosphere. The fruit symbols hint at the silly fun you are about to experience. The layout itself is pretty standard. The top of the main page hosts the Games and Promotions tabs. If you scroll down, you will be provided with a glimpse at the available games and payment methods. To gain full access to the game library, you need to open an account. Shrewd, yet irritating way to attract new players.

7 Welcome Bonus Packages to Choose From

When it comes to bonuses, most casinos have adopted the “one size fits it all” approach and players have no other choice but to claim whatever is up for grabs.
5Gringos casino provides players with the chance to choose a fruit upon registration. Each fruit has a bonus attached to it. The strawberry gives you cashback on live casino games; the lemon comes with a 50% match deposit bonus offer; the cherries grant you a 100% match deposit bonus + free spins; the watermelon gives you 1 free spin per every €1 deposited, etc.
Choose wisely, as the bonuses come with different wagering requirements. The minimum deposited required to claim the bonuses are also a bit high. For example, if the raspberry is your fruit of choice, you will have to deposit at least €50 at once to claim the cashback. If you choose the 200% match deposit bonus, you have to clear a 50x (deposit + bonus) wagering requirement, which is way out of line.
To cut a long story short, choose carefully your bonus and read the bonus terms twice as carefully to avoid disappointments.

Game Selection

5Gringos Casino has an impressive game selection, hands down.
It does not matter if you are a slots fan or you prefer Blackjack or Baccarat, 5Gringos got you covered. You can try the games in demo mode and then switch to real money mode if you feel like it. Needless to say, these options are available only for registered customers.
The live casino offers some of the most common variations of roulette, blackjack, baccarat, and poker. Monopoly and Dream Catcher are also among the available titles.

Game Suppliers

5Gringos Casino lends its games from BF Games, 1×2, Leap, Playson, Iron Dog, Merkur, Bally, Wulff, Gamomat, Evolution, Red Tiger, Play’n GO, Nolimit, Red Rake, Casino Technology, SA Gaming, Booongo, Igrosoft, Yggdrasil, Pragmatic Play, ezugi, Pariplay, Quickspin, Push Gaming, Microgaming, Endorphina, Gameart, Elk, Spinomenal, Wazdan, Relax, Betsoft.

Deposits and Withdrawals

5Gringos Casino accepts payments via Visa, Mastercard, bank transfer, Interac, bitcoin, EcoPayz, Trustly, Klarna, Kiwi, EPS, Litecoin, Neosurf, Ripple, Ethereum, Skrill, Neteller, Paysafe.
The minimum deposit is €20 (unless you want to claim a bonus that requires a higher deposit). The minimum withdrawal depends on your VIP status. Level 1 players can withdraw €500 per transaction and up to €10,000 per month. As you climb the VIP ladder, the withdrawal limits are increased.
Please note that your deposit is subject to 1x rollover before a withdrawal request is made. If you break that “rule”, the casino charges you a fee amounting to 10% of the amount you would like to withdraw.

Bonzo Spins Casino Review

Bonzo Spins is relatively new to the online casino, but it is already making a big splash. The reason? There are several, but one of the most prevalent can be summed up in a single word: transparency. This is hands down one of the most upfront online casinos you’ll ever come across. From the UK Gambling Commission licence, to the thorough terms and games layout, everything here spells honesty. And players can feel it.
The name ‘Bonzo’ may have somewhat zany connotations, and although the casino does have a young and vibrant ambience, it is far from silly. The games selection here is serious, and experienced players won’t have to spend long on the site before they begin to understand the hype surrounding this cutting-edge online casino.
Want to find out more about what makes Bonzo Spins so special? Check out our full expert review below.

Bonzo Spins Welcome Bonus

Like all good casinos, Bonzo Spins offers new players a welcome bonus to encourage them to play some real money slots casino games. But the welcome bonus here is anything but ordinary.
Ask any player who’s been in the casino scene for a few years, and many will tell you that welcome bonuses are largely impossible to unlock as withdrawable cash. Flashy numbers that sound too good to be true often are. That is why here at Bonzo Spins, the emphasis isn’t on cash, but on spins – as the name suggests. Players will typically receive free spins in exchange for relatively small deposits, and these are often spread over the first few deposits.
The great thing about this is that you’ll get your free spins instantly to use on games such as the fan favourite Starburst. You won’t have to trawl through endless pages to find the relevant terms, as these are accessed right on the welcome bonus page – a sign of the casino’s transparent approach. And we don’t just mean the usual terms like having to be 18+, either. The wagering requirements and any limitations are all included in a clear manner.
Free spins are also an ideal way to get accustomed to the casino without having to make a hefty deposit.
Terms and conditions apply, players 18 years old and above only. Play responsibly.
>> Get Free Bonus and Free Spins <<

All Kinds of Promos

There are always plenty of promotions available at Bonzo Spins, yet it’s clear that here they don’t just load up the offers section with generic campaigns. Instead, the deals seem carefully selected and measured in such a way that they never become overwhelming for players.
Many of the promotions at Bonzo Spins are fairly straightforward, and you will often to be able to pick up free spins by the bucketload when making a relatively small deposit. Although deposit bonuses are used more sparingly than they are at other online casinos – for player-centric reasons we’ve already mentioned – when they do come along, they still offer good value.
More evidence of the hard work going on behind the scenes can be seen in the casino’s themed seasonal promotions. Occasions like Halloween will be sure to bring out an array of spooky specials from Bonzo Spins, which helps to keep things fresh and relevant for players.
Once you’ve met a minimum deposit amount, you can access the VIP bonus scheme. Benefits include a personal account manager, exclusive promos and reload bonuses, faster withdrawals, higher limits, special gifts and more. The deposit amount required to join the club is fairly achievable too, so don’t rule out this option until you’ve checked out the promos page.

Dozens of Software Developers

We’ve used the word before, and we’re going to use it again. Everything about this site is completely transparent, and the games section is no different. The layout is neat, with larger images at the top making way for a grid of games. Each one has two buttons: one to play the game, and one to enter the demo mode. If you’ve yet to play a game, this is a terrific way to experience it hands-on without committing your precious casino chips.
There are quite a few categories to help you narrow down your search while playing at Bonzo Spins. Among these are the ‘New Games’, ‘Live Dealer’, and ‘Exclusive’ sections, all of which hold their own appeal. ‘Hot Game’ shows which titles are currently paying out big bucks – again showing the site’s typically honest approach.
But what really caught our eye is the ‘Providers’ list. Bonzo Spins offers games from a massive variety of leading software developers like NetEnt and Microgaming, as well as from lesser-known ones such as Red Tiger. Each of these companies gets a mention in this easily clickable list in the left menu, which leads us to question why more casinos don’t follow suit. Games providers are hardly a niche piece of information, as many players choose their casinos based entirely on this factor.
It makes good sense to be given the option to search via provider, and this smart offering from Bonzo Spins shows that they understand players.

Bonzo Spins Casino Mobile Experience

Bonzo Spins was only introduced to our screens in 2018. Like nearly every online casino created this late in the game, the Nektan-powered site was able to create a product with mobile in mind. Unlike existing casinos, which were forced to retrospectively rearrange their existing product to try and shoehorn mobile accessibility in, Bonzo Spins was created for mobile use.
The result is a slick, smooth experience for players on mobile or tablet. It’s simple to get going by simply typing the normal URL into your smartphone or tablet. Plus, you will no doubt be impressed with the web page speed, considering this is a fairly new site. The layout is similar to the desktop version, but it has been optimised for mobile use. This makes it easy to flick and tap between games, of which there is a seemingly endless supply.

Email, Live Chat and Phone Support

Because it was created in 2018, you’d expect the site to have a stellar live chat feature, and Bonzo Spins does not disappoint in this regard. Players are increasingly relying on this half-email, half-interactive form of communication as it’s quick, easy to use, and doesn’t require the user’s full attention.
The live chat here is super responsive. If you’d rather send an email, you can easily do so as the site’s support service is manned 24 hours a day. You’ll never wait more than a day for a reply, and we often found responses to be much faster than advertised.
What’s even more surprising – and impressive – is that Bonzo Spins also offers live help over the phone. The casino’s UK-based phone number is available from 8am until midnight, and this will go a long way towards helping players feel they can trust the team here. Phone support may be going out of fashion, but this only proves the casino’s dedication to customers and its commitment to an accessible and honest approach.
>> Get Free Bonus and Free Spins <<

Quick and Easy Banking

There are plenty of ways for players to make a deposit. Funds can be deposited via PayPal, credit cards, and a range of e-wallet options such as Skrill. There are no hidden fees, and plenty of currencies are catered for – including GBP, USD and EUR among others.
What this means is that all players will find it simple to deposit here, with various options available to suit everyone. On top of that, withdrawals are pretty speedy and simple. And if you qualify for the VIP club, these withdrawals will be even faster.

Conclusion

We tried to find a flaw with Bonzo Spins, but it proved to be a very difficult task. Despite its young age, Bonzo Spins looks to be the real deal. The casino’s honesty is the correct way to build trust with players, and having the many hundreds of games presented in an easy-to-use and informative layout makes browsing the casino classics a breeze. Incredible support and thoughtful promotions are the cherry on the cake.

Lucky Nugget Casino Review

Let’s get down to brass tacks.
Below is our Lucky Nugget Casino review. If you’re on the lookout for a real money casino with a positive history spanning almost two decades, excellent software and games... then... you’re going to want to read this to the very end.
Let’s get started.

Games You Can Play at Lucky Nugget

Thanks to software giant Microgaming you’ll have more than 250 games to choose from.
And good news for you – slots makes up the majority of their selection.
What kinds of slots can you play? Lucky Nugget has machines in every category including classic (3-reel traditional) slots, progressive jackpots, video slots (with features, bonus rounds, etc) and mobile slots that can be placed on almost every device including iPad, Blackberry and even a Kindle.
They even have my favorite (type of) machine... slots based on movies, TV shows, comic book characters and pop culture.
I enjoy these machines the most because they take elements directly from the theme’s source and integrate it into the slot game.
For example, in The Dark Knight you’ll see cutscenes from the movie. If you trigger a bonus round you’ll also race The Joker (or Batman, depending on which character you’re playing as) for credits.
It’s a load of fun. You should play it.
If Batman’s not your thing, that’s okay – there are TONS of other slots you can play.
For example:
  • Thunderstruck
  • Mega Moolah – This progressive slot has paid out MILLIONS to players in the last 5 years. Will you be next?
  • Pharaoh’s Fortune
  • Diamond 777
  • Peek-a-Boo
  • Big Kahuna – Snakes & Ladders
  • Tomb Raider – Secret of the Sword
  • Hitman
  • Double Magic Mega Spin
  • Fantastic 777 Mega Spin
  • High 5 Mega Spin
  • Major Millions Mega Spin
  • Pub Fruity
  • Who Wants To Be A Stallionaire
  • Cherry Red
  • Agent Jane Blonde
  • Immortal Romance
And loads more. Many of these games are available to play from your phone and tablet, too. I think Microgaming are among the best online slots providers with games to suit all tastes.
Cool?
But what if you don’t like slots? What then?
Lucky Nugget is a well-rounded casino. That means they have other games you can play which include:
  • Roulette – This includes French, American and European Roulette.
  • Blackjack – This includes Vegas Strip, Atlantic City and Casino Gold Series Blackjack.
  • Video Poker – This includes Deuces Wild, Jacks or Better, Bonus Video Poker, Tens or Better, Double Bonus and Double, Double Bonus Video Poker.
And more.
Most, if not all of these games are available to play for both real and play (fake) money from Lucky Nugget’s download, instant play and mobile casino.

Lets Talk Bonuses

When you join Lucky Nugget today you’ll be eligible for their promotions. These are their top offers.
Welcome Offer – You get two choices – you can either get the player bonus or high roller bonus.
The play bonus is a 150% match up to $200. I like this offer because you get more bang for your buck compared to most other casinos.
The high roller bonus is a 100% match up to $1,000. You don’t get as much money for every $1 you deposit, but you can get MORE free money.
It’s your choice.
Both offers will have a 50x play through requirement.
That’s their welcome bonuses. Other than that other promotions you can participate in include:
  • Free spins with no deposit
  • Free credits
  • Loyalty bonuses. Get 3 points for every $10 you spend on slots which you can later use to exchange for cold hard cash.
I suggest checking out (and bookmarking) their promotions page to stay up to date on all their offers.

Ready to Make a Deposit?

Great – you can use the following banking methods:
  • Click and Buy
  • EcoPayz
  • Maestro
  • MasterCard
  • Neteller
  • PaySafeCard

Sam Harris on Michael Bloomberg and stop-and-frisk

Hi folks. In the latest podcast episode (189) Harris made some comments about Michael Bloomberg and stop-and-frisk. Let’s first of all take a look at what Harris said:
“Let’s start with Bloomberg, because he’s someone who is getting, you know there’s at least an attempt to defenestrate him based on a few things he said as mayor which may have been politically imprudent or too candid by half, but in many respects not obviously wrong. And the arguments against him really seem to be pseudoarguments. And so, at the time of recording this this is a fairly vivid scandal or pseudoscandal in journalism now. But, the Democrats are pillorying him over remarks he made that were just unearthed from the Aspen Institute in 2015 when he was talking about stop-and-frisk. And I have the quote here, so this is Bloomberg in 2015, after he was mayor. He was I believe mayor for 11 years of New York City, and the policy for those who don’t recall it, it’s been since more or less phased out, but, the cops were stationed more in minority areas and stopping and frisking people looking for guns, mostly, and crime rates plummeted. There’s some uncertainty about the causal factor there, but it was not irrational at the time to think that stop-and-frisk was part of the policy that was succeeding in causing crime rates to plummet. Anyway, so Bloomberg said:
'95% of your murders and murder victims fit one MO. You can just take the description and Xerox it and pass it out to all the cops. They are male minorities 15-25. That is true in New York. That is true in virtually every city in America. And that’s where the real crime is. You’ve got to get the guns out of the hands of the people who are getting killed. So you want to spend the money on a lot of cops in the streets. Put those cops where the crime is. Which means minority neighborhoods.'
And then in a subsequent interview he said:
'One newspaper and one news service, they just keep saying ‘Oh it’s a disproportionate percentage of a particular ethnic group.’ That may be, but it’s not a disproportionate percentage of those who witnesses and victims describe as committing the crime. In that case, incidentally, I think we disproportionately stop whites too much, and minorities too little. It’s exactly the reverse of what they’re saying. I don’t know where they went to school, but they certainly didn’t take a math course, or a logic course.'
Alright so he’s clearly making it difficult for himself there, in hindsight, politically. But the reality is, all the data I’ve ever read about violent crime support what he’s saying here. The disproportionate number of perpetrators and the disproportionate number of victims are coming from minority communities. And what these communities suffer from is not too much policing, it’s been the wrong type of policing. There’s too much policing around petty crime, and not enough policing around solving murders, and how to get that right is a difficult question. But the people who are saying that the only way to have arrived at a stop-and-frisk policy was borne of racism, and not caring about the disparities of the way in which crime victimizes communities, that’s just clearly untrue. A completely rational and compassionate attempt to mitigate violent crime could have given you this policy. And it seems to me that the thing the Democratic party has to be able to admit at this point, in order to talk anything like sense on this topic, is that it’s a difficult social problem, that, the mayor was right in his diagnosis, that you could win money all day long in a casino that would allow you to place a bet on the age range and gender and minority identity of a perpetrator of a violent crime in New York City. You know, it’s not the ultra-Orthodox Jews who are mugging people in New York City. But that’s a politically toxic thing to make salient, and the remedy of stop-and-frisk became politically toxic, and probably wasn’t worth doing in hindsight. He could have figured that out earlier than he did, perhaps. But, the fact that he’s being castigated on the left as a racist monster, just seems to be emblematic of all of the miscalibrations in our politics on the left, that the wokeness is ensuring. And it seems, above all, a recipe for giving us four more years of Trump in the end.”
Okay, well I have some thoughts about this. Let’s break this down into what was said, and what wasn’t said.

What was said.

Firstly, Harris is generally misrepresenting the situation when he says Democrats are ‘pillorying him’ over remarks he made. If you look at the transcripts of the two recent debates, the comments aimed at Bloomberg’s stop-and-frisk policy are generally not about the comments Harris quoted, but the policy itself.
From Nevada:
Sanders: ‘In order to beat Donald Trump, we’re going to need the largest voter turnout in the history of the United States. Mr. Bloomberg had policies in New York city of stop-and-frisk, which went after African American and Latino people in an outrageous way.’
Warren: ‘Democrats are not going to win if we have a nominee who has a history of hiding his tax returns, of harassing women and of supporting racist policies like redlining and stop-and-frisk.’
Biden: Well the fact of the matter is, he has not managed his city very, very well when he was there. He didn’t get a whole lot done. He has stop-and-frisk, throwing close to 5 million young black men up against a wall. And when we came along in our administration, President Obama and said, “We’re going to send in a mediator to stop it.” He said, “That’s unnecessary.”
Biden: ‘Yes. Let’s get something straight. The reason the stop and frisk change is because Barack Obama sent moderators to see what was going on. When we sent them there to say, “This practice has to stop,” the mayor thought it was a terrible idea. We send them there, a terrible idea. Let’s get the facts straight. Let’s get the order straight. And it’s not whether he apologize or not, it’s the policy. The policy was abhorrent and it was, in fact, of violation of every right people have. We are the one, our administration sent in people to monitor it. And the very time the mayor argued against that. This idea that he figured out it was a bad idea. He figured out it was a bad idea after we sent in monitors and said it must stop. Even then he continued the policy.’
Warren: ‘When the mayor says that he apologized, listen very closely to the apology. The language he used is about stop and frisk. It’s about how it turned out. Now this isn’t about how it turned out. This is about what it was designed to do to begin with. It targeted communities of color, it targeted black and brown men from the beginning. And if you want to issue a real apology, then the apology has to start with the intent of the plan as it was put together and the willful ignorance day by day by day of admitting what was happening. Even as people protested in your own street, shutting out the sounds of people telling you how your own policy was breaking their lives. You need a different apology.’
From South Carolina:
King: ‘Mayor Buttigieg, mayor to mayor, mayor to mayor, you've certainly had your issues with the black community as well. Do you think the New York City's implementation of stop and frisk was racist?’
Buttigieg: ‘Yes, in effect, it was. Because it was about profiling people based on their race. And the mayor even said that they disproportionately stopped white people too often and minorities too little. ’
O’Donnell: ‘Senator Klobuchar, was the way that the mayor implemented stop and frisk racist?’
Klobuchar: ‘Yes, and I think that what we need to do instead of just reviewing everything from the past is talk about where we're going to go forward.’
So we can see that generally, the comments being made by Democratic rivals are about the policy, how it was implemented, or how Bloomberg responded to criticism of the policy. Ditto comments made in the press:
Repeating the phrase, “We will not beat Donald Trump with,” Sanders ticked off the issues that have dogged Bloomberg for a week: a “racist” policy like stop-and-frisk that “caused communities of color to live in fear,” his past opposition to raising the minimum wage and that he “blamed the end of racist policies such as redlining for the financial crisis.”
Biden slammed Bloomberg’s record on policing in New York and other issues important to African American voters, a crucial demographic for the Democratic nomination -- and especially for Biden, who has lost black support as Bloomberg’s support among blacks has picked up.
“You take a look at the stop-and-frisk proposals. You take a look at his ideas on redlining he’s talking about. You take a look at what he’s done relative to the African American community,” Biden said. So the idea that the criticism is simply about remarks Bloomberg made is either a misrepresentation or is misleading commentary.
Secondly, ‘the arguments against him really seem to be pseudoarguments’. Which arguments? Because lots of arguments have been made about stop-and-frisk as it relates to Bloomberg, and we’ve already seen that the criticism of Bloomberg isn’t narrowly lazered in on some comments he’s made about it, but is about the policy itself as implemented and handled by Bloomberg. Without specifying the arguments that have been made, or the people who have made them, this is just a lazy and vague assertion. Nevertheless, we can actually look at some arguments against Bloomberg’s stop-and-frisk policy:
evidence has emerged of the harms created by the strategy. We now know that students heavily exposed to stop-and-frisk were more likely to struggle in school, that young men were more likely to experience symptoms of anxiety and depression, that this exposure fostered cynicism in policing and government writ large, and that it made residents more likely to retreat from civic life.
In effect, Mr. Bloomberg’s policing record — one of his greatest liabilities as voters begin to appraise him at the ballot box — may have clouded the other accomplishments that form the strongest case for his bid as president, in areas like education, public health and good government.
Recent research by Mr. Bacher-Hicks and Elijah de la Campa found that black middle-school students exposed to more aggressive policing were more likely to later drop out of school and less likely to enroll in college.
The researchers looked at parts of New York that had many stops, not necessarily because those places had high crime or other correlated factors, but because they happened to be assigned a precinct commander who was more likely to advocate frequent stops. Within these neighborhoods, students may not have been stopped themselves. But they went to school in communities where this kind of policing was pervasive.
The negative effects on education appeared for girls, too, even though they were far less likely to be stopped by police than boys or young men. That implies, the researchers suggest, that something deeply embedded in the girls’ environment — like fear or distrust of authority that students learned from it — might have hindered their education. More police stops, the researchers found, were also associated with chronic absenteeism.
That study adds to other research in New York finding that black male students who were more exposed to stop-and-frisk had lower test scores. And other research using surveys about experiences with the police has found that students around the country who were arrested or stopped, or who witnessed these encounters or knew of others involved, had worse grades.
That these effects appear strongest for black students suggests that aggressive policing could worsen racial achievement gaps in school as well.
“All these kinds of disadvantages can accrue and build up,” said Aaron Gottlieb, a professor at the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago, who has studied policing and student grades. “Let’s say a police stop reduces the likelihood that you go to college. That’s going to impact your earnings in the long run.”
Other research shows that negative interactions with the police can shape how residents think about government and civic institutions, and even democracy more broadly.
“It teaches something really important — and something really negative — about what agents of the state and bureaucracies are supposed to be doing in your community, what role they play, what their character is,” said Amy Lerman, a political scientist at the University of California, Berkeley.
She and Vesla Weaver, a political scientist at Johns Hopkins, have found that even minor encounters with police can reduce the likelihood of voting, a pattern other research of stop-and-frisk in New York has documented as well. Ms. Lerman and Ms. Weaver have shown that aggressive stop-and-frisk tactics can even have a chilling effect on whether residents use a service like 3-1-1 to report issues that have nothing to do with crime at all.
Is this a pseudoargument?
Data suggests that the vast majority of street stops made by the police in New York at the height of stop-and-frisk weren’t particularly helpful in fighting crime: Few led to arrests or uncovered weapons. But research has found that a small subset of stops, those based on specific suspicions by officers and not general sweeps or racial profiling, do appear to have helped reduce crime.
From the study itself:
Impact zones were significantly associated with reductions in total reported crimes, assaults, burglaries, drug violations, misdemeanor crimes, felony property crimes, robberies, and felony violent crimes. Impact zones were significantly associated with increases in total reported arrests, arrests for burglary, arrests for weapons, arrests for misdemeanor crimes, and arrests for property felony crimes. Impact zones were also significantly associated with increases in investigative stops for suspected crimes, but only the increase in stops made based on probable cause indicators of criminal behaviors were associated with crime reductions. The largest increase in investigative stops in impact zones was based on indicators of suspicious behavior that had no measurable effect on crime. The findings suggest that saturating high crime blocks with police helped reduce crime in New York City, but that the bulk of the investigative stops did not play an important role in the crime reductions. The findings indicate that crime reduction can be achieved with more focused investigative stops.
Is this a pseudoargument?
Thirdly: ‘There’s some uncertainty about the causal factor there, but it was not irrational at the time to think that stop-and-frisk was part of the policy that was succeeding in causing crime rates to plummet.’
While it’s not possible for me to say whether it was rational or irrational at the time to think that stop-and-frisk played some role in crime reduction, even at the time, going back to at least 1999 (predating Bloomberg’s first mayoral term), the City had been aware that stop-and-frisk involved widespread constitutional violations:
[The City has] received both actual and constructive notice since at least 1999 of widespread Fourth Amendment violations occurring as a result of the NYPD’s stop and frisk practices. Despite this notice, they deliberately maintained and even escalated policies and practices that predictably resulted in even more widespread Fourth Amendment violations. . . . The NYPD has repeatedly turned a blind eye to clear evidence of unconstitutional stops and frisks.”
Which would not seem to be a great thing for a Presidential candidate to have aggressively expanded and vigorously defended over many years, when there was awareness of widespread constitutional violations at the time.
Fourthly: ‘A completely rational and compassionate attempt to mitigate violent crime could have given you this policy.’ If such a policy were rooted in rationality and compassion, would there not have been consideration for the known widespread constitutional violations and the fact that the vast majority of those being stopped were innocent people having negative experiences with law enforcement? In addition to which, when the New York City Council passed bills which provided oversight of the stop-and-frisk policy, including an independent monitor of the police department, Bloomberg vetoed them both! Surely someone being motivated by rationality and compassion would not object to oversight of their practices?
Fifth: ‘And it seems to me that the thing the Democratic party has to be able to admit at this point, in order to talk anything like sense on this topic, is that it’s a difficult social problem, that, the mayor was right in his diagnosis, that you could win money all day long in a casino that would allow you to place a bet on the age range and gender and minority identity of a perpetrator of a violent crime in New York City. You know, it’s not the ultra-Orthodox Jews who are mugging people in New York City. But that’s a politically toxic thing to make salient…’
So Harris says that this is a politically toxic thing to make salient, but for some reason the Democratic party are supposed to say ‘Well, Bloomberg was right that it’s mostly young black or Latino people committing violent crimes, in fact you could win money all day long betting in a casino on this very proposition!’ and this is…supposed to help them in the election? This sounds utterly ridiculous and a surefire way to alienate and anger voters and depress voter turnout.
Lastly: ‘the remedy of stop-and-frisk…probably wasn’t worth doing in hindsight’. Is this all Harris can say in assessing the policy, it probably wasn’t worth doing in hindsight? No mention of its being unconstitutional in practice, of widespread constitutional violations being known since at least 1999, of the majority of those stopped being innocent people, of various harmful effects it could have caused and which may still be ongoing? This statement is so devoid of awareness or familiarity with the details that it just comes across as either callous or oblivious.

What wasn’t said.

Anyway, I have to say that, when considering both what Harris did and didn’t say about stop-and-frisk, I didn’t find him to be making much sense on this topic. What are your thoughts?
